A Project Scheduler Senior is needed for a world class utility company in the New Albany, OH (hybrid) area. This role involves independently developing, analyzing, and maintaining project schedules using critical path methodology, collaborating with stakeholders, tracking metrics, and mentoring junior schedulers to ensure efficient project execution and adherence to organizational standards.

responsibilities:




  • Coordinate team activities and support Project Managers (PMs) with minimal supervision.

  • Perform scheduler and commodity tracker roles for major projects.

  • Develop and analyze intermediate and complex project schedules using assigned systems.

  • Plan, schedule, integrate, baseline, update, maintain, and analyze project schedules.

  • Ensure all scope and deliverables are accounted for in schedules.

  • Develop integrated system schedules using critical path methodology and resource leveling.

  • Organize and lead schedule review meetings with stakeholders, documenting minutes and action items.

  • Communicate schedule risks, updates, and milestones to project stakeholders.

  • Administer project management standards and assist in aligning projects to those standards.

  • Assign security roles and maintain scheduling software systems as needed.

  • Update progress, develop commodity curves, track metrics, and support project teams.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Collaborate effectively with execution teams, contractors, suppliers, and company management.

  • Maintain attention to detail and work independently under minimal supervision.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for complex data analysis and reporting.


Education and Experience:





  • With a qualified Bachelor's degree, four (4) years' qualified experience required.

  • With a qualified Associate's degree, six (6) years' qualified experience.

  • Scheduling experience in Transmission, Substation, Construction or Engineering preferred.

  • Qualified degrees must be in a related field from an accredited university or college and could include Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Technology, or Project Management.

  • Qualified experience includes utility specific operations knowledge/experience with a good working knowledge of work processes and procedures.

  • Experience should be in design, operations, planning, project management, cost tracking analysis, forecasting, project budgets, working with accounting principles, and/or construction or maintenance of systems and/or equipment.

  • Must have P6 experience 4-6 years.
