Responsibilities
Summary
Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of tasks associated with mold repair and maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work in a neat and orderly manner
- Repair molds in accordance with Tool Shop procedures
- Work with more advanced associates to accomplish repairs
- Work with a variety of associates to accomplish organized objectives
- Tear down and assemble molds
- Change core inserts & orifice sizes
- Troubleshoot mold problems
- Use precision tools and perform bench work
- Understanding workings of molds
- Clean Shop as needed
- Be able to lead a repair operation and keep it moving toward completion
- Analyze parts and plan repair procedures
- Detect possible future problems or existing problems during the course of preventive maintenance
- Follow applicable Food Safety and cGMP policies
Minimum Qualifications
- Good interpersonal communication skills (written, verbal and oral) needed.
- Must be able to perform machine shop mathematics (algebra, geometry, trigonometry) required.
- The ability to safely and proficiently operate conventional machine shop machines (including CNC equipment) is required.
Education and Experience
- Two-year degree in Machine Trades Technology or a similar field required. Comparable experience may be considered.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to walk, lift and carry materials in order to function in their job. Must be able to comfortably lift 35 pounds without assistance on a routine basis.
Work Environment
While performing the duties for this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to various types of equipment that have vibration. The noise level in the environment occasionally requires hearing protection.
