The NYU Center for Responsible AI (NYU R/AI) is seeking to hire a Research Scholar to join our growing interdisciplinary team and engage in the Center?s applied research and educational activities. The Research Scholar will contribute to the ecosystem of responsible AI teaching materials and methodologies, amplifying the external impact of R/AI?s research. They will also work closely with Prof. Julia Stoyanovich to develop instructional materials for practitioner training on responsible AI.
Research Scholar is expected to:
- Participate in the development of educational materials on responsible AI for the general audience, and for practitioners in industry and government, in collaboration with other members of the NYU R/AI team.
- Participate in research to evaluate the effectiveness of educational materials and methodologies, in collaboration with other members of the NYU R/AI team.
- Co-author recruitment and promotional materials for NYU R/AI educational offerings.
- Participate in professional advancement events and NYU campus life.
Compensation: This position is for 6 months, with an opportunity to renew subject to availability of funds. This is a part-time position, with an expected time commitment of 25 hours per week. In compliance with NYC?s Pay Transparency Act, the base salary for this position is $3,000 per month.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Master?s degree in education, psychology, sociology, or related discipline.
- Relevant research experience.
- Experience working in an interdisciplinary team.
- Strong writing and communication skills
