Pay Range: $67,070 - - $108,990/annual

Duties:
To serve as coordinator and collaborator for all aspects of patient experience data. This individual plays a major role, to develop the collection methodologies, reporting, and goal setting of patient experience data and the voice of the patient. Key aspects of this role include the following: to oversee of patient experience data collection, to report patient experience outcomes, to teach and train on how to access data and work collaboratively with UAB Medicine leaders on how to improve the patient experience across UAB Medicine. Approximately 80% of this role will be devoted to data analysis, survey maintenance and reporting. The remaining percentage will be spent preparing data in presentations for meetings, to collaborate on internal patient experience data projects, and training/teaching.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1.
Acts as the UAB Medicine expert on patient experience survey methodologies, along with other qualitative and quantitative patient experience metrics.

Acts as the UAB Medicine expert on all regulatory changes related to patient experience.
3.
Identifies industry-wide best practices related to patient experience capture and reporting. Stays up to date on consumer engagement and voice of the customer collection strategies and methods. Including non-healthcare best practices. Develops innovative ways to better hear and understand the voice of the patient / customer.
4.
Monitors and maintains all patient experience survey tools to ensure maximum effectiveness, including methodology, survey setup, sampling, response rate, etc. Works collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure upload file accuracy.
5.
Creates, maintains, and distributes standardized reporting of patient experience data across UAB Medicine. Maintains ongoing development and distribution of automated reporting. Creates custom on-demand reports as needed (e.g. Goal data, Finance, Coaching, etc.).

Analyzes and interprets patient experience data to identify trends, successes, and opportunities for improvement. Works collaboratively with UAB Medicine coaching team as needed. Serves on performance improvement teams where patient experience data is being utilized. Aids in patient experience improvement efforts with UAB Medicine clinical and operational leaders as needed.
7.
Trains and coaches leaders on accessing and using patient experience data, including running reports, interpreting scores, and prioritizing action items for improvement.
8.
Serves as a member of the Office of Patient and Experience and Engagement (OPXE) leadership team.
9.
Performs other duties as assigned in support of OPXE and Health System initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Master's degree such as MPH, MSHQS, MSHI, or related field preferred. Experience working with healthcare or consumer experience data preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Expert in MS Excel preferred. Must possess effective communication skills. Familiarity with statistics, quality improvement, and data analytics preferred.
