Position Summary The Student Research Worker forthe Center Early Relational Health/ COVID-19 Mother Baby (COMBO) Initiative, your role is crucial in supporting the organization's mission to seek to understand the long-term impact of in utero SARS-CoV-2 exposure on both mothers and babies. Using a highly collaborative multidisciplinary approach, we study a broad set of outcomes including neurodevelopment, growth, maternal cognitive function, socioemotional function maternal health as well as focused on human connectedness and loneliness. The Student Research Worker will support with literature reviews, data collection, and data analysis under the guidance of senior researchers, contribute to the development and implementation of research methodologies and protocols. Collect, organize, and analyze research data using appropriate statistical and qualitative analysis techniques. Assist in the preparation of research reports, presentations, and publications to supports the mission, goals and objectives of Columbia University's Center Early Relational Health/ COVID-19 Mother Baby (COMBO) Initiative study. Responsibilities Recruit participants and obtain informed consent. Program, manage and code data collection through REDCap. Interact with study participants using English and Spanish (if applicable) Clean and analyze study data. IRB submission and management. Conducts literature reviews. Attends project meetings, area seminars, and other meetings as necessary. Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested. Minimum Qualifications High School Graduate or Equivalency required. Preferred Qualifications Strong project coordination and communication skills as well as exposure to research methods, programming and/or clinical informatics. Software proficiency: working knowledge of R, SAS, Stata or other statistical software. Experience working with REDCap or other study data management systems. Bilingual Spanish.
