Facilities Supervisor (Area Maintenance) | Morgan State University - Military Veterans

Inspects completed job assignments for adherence to trade standards. Troubleshoots problems and performs maintenance repairs. Inspects shop and work areas for adherence to safety, sanitary, and security regulations. Operates and ensures operational readiness and safety of the tools and equipment of the trades. Repairs and/or directs the repair of machinery and equipment using hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, and testing instruments. Ensures assigned unit meets established operating standards and ensures all work is completed in accordance with departmental standards. Plans, organizes, assigns, and reviews the technical and/or skilled crafts work rendered by skilled, unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled workers. Reviews work orders, determines work priorities, and assigns work using appropriate personnel. Supervises and trains assigned personnel. Performs on-the-job training and participates in the Performance Review and Development process. Performs estimates of time, labor, and materials to be used on assigned projects. Completes a variety of special and recurring reports and analyses reflecting daily operations and project status. Assumes responsibility for the zone and/or unit in the absence of the incumbent?s supervisor..
