Executive Director, Lead Petroleum Engineer - Military Veterans

Wells Fargo is looking to add a seasoned Petroleum Engineer to our Engineering team sitting in Houston, TX. This team focuses on determining the economic value, reserve estimates, and future production, for oil and gas properties used as collateral for existing or potential loan relationships. This individual will report directly to the Petroleum Engineering Senior Manager.

In this role, you will:

  • Advise more experienced leadership in oil and gas reserves estimates and future production using commercially available petroleum economics software
  • Apply bank engineering policy to perform economic analysis on highly complex business and technical needs
  • Lead strategy of highly complex projects to enable successful loan syndications
  • Provide all aspects of the project by coordinating offsite business meetings in order to deliver technical solutions
  • Provide expertise to more experienced leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions to help ensure accuracy and timely completion
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Petroleum Engineering experience working within a bank environment
  • Highly experienced with ARIES. Combo Curve, Phdwin and ValNav experience a plus.
  • Experience with leading technical aspects of agented RBLs
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to senior leadership
  • Business knowledge of risk management and regulatory interactions
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; focus on attention to detail
