Associate Professor or Professor WOT-Nephrology | University of Washington - Military Veterans

The University of Washington?s (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology is seeking applicants for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Associate Professor or Professor (WOT) Physician/Scientist-track position.This position would be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, without tenure due to reasons of funding (WOT). Associate Professors and Professors WOT Physician Scientist track hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1 ? June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The anticipated start date would be April 1, 2025. University of Washington faculty engage in research, teaching, and service. The successful applicant should be expected to establish a kidney research program and conduct research directed towards advancing our understanding of kidney health and diseases. The successful candidate will also be expected to work collaboratively, and participate in mentorship of trainees during their research years and classroom teaching to graduate students. Positive factors for consideration include, but are not limited to national/international recognition for research and scholarship (for full professors), and the ability to obtain independent funding, based on R01 or equivalent grant support. The base salary range for this position will be: $13,334-$15,584 per month ($160,008 - $187,008 annually) for Associate Professor WOT and $15,584 - $22,500 per month ($187,008 - $270,000 annually) for Professor WOT, commensurate with experience, rank and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
