Job Overview



Komatsu currently has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance General Repair Person at our facility located in Reno, PA.  This is a full-time position on second shift (3 p.m.- 11 p.m.).  We offer a very competitive wage and benefit package including medical/dental/vision and life insurance, 401(k), Employee Assistance Program, and 13 paid holidays per year.  

 



Key Job Responsibilities



The incumbent of this position will be responsible for the following duties:





  • Install, inspect and maintain mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment and wiring to applicable underwriters codes


  • Install and maintain various utility systems such as electric services and gas, water, fire, heating, cooling and air systems


  • Maintain, construct and remodel facility and building as required


  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and make repairs to all types of material handling equipment


  • Prepare foundations, layout, install, align and adjust machine tools and equipment


  • Rebuild or remove old machines and equipment


  • Maintain an inventory of items required for maintenance needs and keep related records 


  • Install, inspect and repair cranes, hoists, cables and chains as required 


  • Inspect and fill portable propane tanks from bulk storage


  • Repair and inspect pneumatic power hand tools


  • Add oil and coolants to machine tools 


  • Operate company vehicle as required 




Qualifications/Requirements



Candidates need  a strong maintenance background, preferably in a manufacturing environment.  Must be a team player with good communication skills.  Must be able to work independently with little supervision and be a self-starter.  Must be dependable, flexible and reliable.

The Komatsu North America Mining Distribution and Service group is a critical part of our Komatsu global organization.  We, sell, install, service, provide parts and rebuild equipment, as well as provide digital solutions for our customers.  In the United States, we have a presence in 16 states across the US with 30 primary sites.  We have approximately 1,200 employees.
