We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a friendly and organized individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role is crucial in providing a positive first impression to our patients and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our front office.
Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction:
Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages accurately.
Assist patients with completing registration forms and gathering necessary information.
Verify insurance coverage and collect co-payments or payments for services rendered.
Administrative Support:
Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Prepare and manage patient charts.
Schedule referrals to specialists as directed by physicians.
Assist with maintaining inventory of medical supplies.
Perform general office duties, such as filing, faxing, and photocopying.
Communication and Coordination:
Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other staff members.
Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Assist with coordinating patient flow and ensuring timely appointments.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and visitors.
Build and maintain positive relationships with patients.
Resolve patient issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role (preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (preferred).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Excellent customer service orientation.
