Material Handler / Assembler / Packer - Military Veterans

Stryker, a leading medical technology company, is seeking a Assemblers, Fabricators, Material Handlers and Packers to join their team in Portage, MI.
Location: Portage, MI
Schedule: 2nd shift and over time available
Payrate: $17.50 - $19.50/hr
Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and electrical/electronic systems to create subassemblies, assemblies, or complete units.
- Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.
-Clean, package, and label products to produce sterile and non-sterile finished goods
- Requires ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. on a frequent basis depending on product line
- Perform routine and manual tasks, following detailed and defined rules/instructions.
- Paints and uses powder operations to properly prepare components that may include sub-assemblies and all other related components
- Will work in small assembly team to meet daily production targets.
- Great attention to detail and comfortable with small part hand assembly.
- Will be required to stand or sit for long hours.
Qualifications:
- No experience required, but 6 months of experience is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required to drive fork lifts
