Senior Air & Missile Defense Radar Simulation Analyst - Military Veterans

Torch Technologies is seeking a talented Senior Radar Analyst/Engineer to join a well-established Air & Missile Defense team that supports the development, test, and fielding of missile defense radar systems. The selected candidate will work with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, tactical software & hardware, and all-digital representations of complex Air & Missile Defense radars. Common tasks for this position include leading scenario design and development, analysis tool design and development, and complex analysis on radar system performance. The chosen candidate will provide expertise and mentor junior team members on various aspects of critical radar functions including acquisition, scheduling, tracking, discrimination, advanced functions, and system-level interactions. They will investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop creative solutions to complex technical problems.
The selected candidate may support a broad range of projects including performance analysis, post-flight reconstructions, simulation integration, execution and analysis and risk reduction efforts. They will provide technical leadership in a highly dynamic environment that promotes team interaction, collaboration, and the development of creative solutions to challenging problems. The chosen candidate will also interact with external customers and stakeholders within the Army Air & Missile Defense labs, program offices, and radar development prime contractors.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science from an accredited institution; Master's or Ph.D. degree highly desired
- 12+ years of experience with radar sensor and/or system-level data analysis
- Proficient in data manipulation and analysis, data visualization, signal and data processing, electromagnetics, and/or system engineering using Matlab, Python, and/or similar tools
- Ability to provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in team environments
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively across multiple efforts
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to mentor and lead junior staff
- Proven ability to interact professionally and effectively with a diverse set of customers, collaborators, stakeholders, and senior leadership
Candidates with the following experience are preferred:
- Experience with Patriot, LTAMDS, Sentinel or other radar systems (and/or associated digital representations)
- Experience leading radar analysis, radar systems engineering, and/or radar test and evaluation
- Experience with radar signal/detection injection HWIL systems
- Experience leading the development of complex analysis tools using Matlab
- Experience with other aspects of Air & Missile Defense including threat/targets, IBCS, missile system uplink/downlinks, radar system test data and analysis and simulation frameworks
- Experience with radar analysis, radar systems engineering, and/or radar operations
- Experience with radar signal/detection injection HWIL systems
- Experience leading the development of complex analysis tools using Matlab
- Experience with other aspects of the Air & Missile Defense including threat/targets, IBCS, radar system test data and analysis and simulation frameworks
