Senior Regional HSE Manager - Latin America - Military Veterans

Primary responsibilities will include:
- Lead HSE operations within the Latin America region for the NOV EPS segment, ensuring alignment with segment, business unit(s), and regional HSE goals.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the region, developing and executing on short-term and long-term HSE plans to improve safety performance and culture in the region.
- Effectively interface and collaborate with operations management and leadership to uphold NOV's HSE standards, including initiating stop work and corrective action when warranted.
- Track and report to leadership on safety performance, objectives, and targets for the region.
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and NOV Global HSE Policy.
- Communicates new environmental, occupational safety, health laws, and regulations.
- Work with and support local managers in the implementation and maintenance of HSE processes and programs, including the EPS Global HSE Management System.
- Participates in or leads accident investigations with the aid of location resources.
- Conducts risk assessments and creates proposals for preventative measures and identifies safe methods of work.
- Establish and lead initiatives to share best practices and lessons learned.
- Provide day-to-day oversight of HSE Managers, ensuring their activities align with organizational objectives and HSE policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with the HSE Director and Business Unit Leadership to align HSE priorities with business unit objectives and ensure consistency in HSE practices.
- Conduct site visits and audits to assess HSE performance, collaborating with Business Unit Leadership and HSE Specialists to identify improvement opportunities and ensure compliance with HSE policies and regulations.
- Develop and implement training programs to address high risk activities and technical gaps in the region, including leading training sessions.
- Implement regular training and development programs for HSE Managers and Specialists to enhance their HSE skills, knowledge, and competencies in HSE management practices.
- Oversee the professional development and performance management of HSE professionals assigned as direct reports.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback, and implementing appropriate measures for performance enhancement.
- Frequently travel to manufacturing plants and service locations - approximately 40% travel required.
- Completes other tasks as requested by the HSE Director.
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental or similar field.
- Lead Auditor certification in ISO 14001 and 45001.
- 15+ years of direct HSE experience.
- 5+ years of team management experience.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate professional and ethical behavior per NOV Corporate policies.
- Proficient computer skills are required, including Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience leading multinational teams and/or working within the Latin America region.
- Experience working in oil & gas, chemical, and/or manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of USA OSHA regulations.
