Plans and facilitates educational and operational activities and exhibits within the Central Piedmont art galleries. Collaborates with the Arts disciplines and the other academic departments to organize educational enrichment activities for students. Maintains the upkeep and programming of the Dove and Gorelick galleries. Maintains the upkeep and programming of the Art Hub spaces (located in the Ross and Overcash galleries). Maintains the gallery sales, contracts and budgets. Curates art exhibits for the college, including by not limited to the Student Art Show. Manages student purchase awards. Promotes gallery shows via social media. Serves on the Public Art Committee. Manages Central Piedmont?s 900-piece art collection and the college?s art loan program, including installations. Advises the college on the selection, purchase and installation of campus art. Supervises part-time gallery staff, federal work-study students and gallery ambassadors. Performs other duties as assigned. Bachelor?s degree from an accredited institution in Visual Arts, Art History, Arts Administration, Museum Studies or a related degree. One year of work experience in art gallery or museum management, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications : Experience in gallery operations, including exhibit preparation and management Experience in handling art in various mediums Demonstrated writing skills Proficiency with MS 365 and other relevant software
