Job Summary: The Oberlin College Department of Athletics and Physical Education invites applications for the position of Assistant Men's Soccer Coach. This is a full-time, 12-month Administrative and Professional Staff position, reporting to the Head Men's Soccer Coach and working with the Associate Vice President for Athletics Advancement and Delta Lodge Director of Athletics & Physical Education. Responsibilities: This position will report directly to the Head Men's Soccer Coach and be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the program – coaching, recruiting, and administration. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Helping student-athletes develop athletically, academically, and personally Coaching and coordinating practices during the traditional and non-traditional seasons Match preparation, match management, and video analysis Recruiting and retention of student-athletes Social media outreach Travel planning Other duties as assigned. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree Preference will be given to candidates with successful coaching, playing, and recruiting experience at the college level Applicants should be open to working hours that include a combination of days, nights, weekends and travel Excellent written and oral communication skills Self-motivated and able to work independently Ability to interact positively with student-athletes, parents, colleagues, alumni, and the public Comply with all College, NCAC , and NCAA rules and regulations. Compensation: Within the range established for this position, salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, and includes an excellent benefits package.
