About This Position

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for all functions of Keefe Packaging Plant maintenance. This includes machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance and building maintenance. To be successful in this position, you must possess good troubleshooting and problem resolution skills while exhibiting a positive attitude. You must be comfortable multitasking and working with minimal supervision.

This position will work in the packaging plant to implement strategies to maintain building cleanliness and order, both inside and outside, perform various maintenance functions and supervise contracted maintenance work.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies to maintain building cleanliness and order both inside and outside the building.
  • Perform necessary functions of building maintenance at Keefe Corporate including determining the need for and tracking the progress of 3rd party contractors.
  • Develop a system for gathering and responding to maintenance issues and requests (work orders)
  • HVAC
  • Electrical
  • Lighting
  • Storage in/out
  • Miscellaneous facility repairs
  • Complete work orders and/or assignments in a timely manner and document accordingly
  • Develop and track completion of all daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance as scheduled
  • Demonstrate ownership of all areas of responsibility through investigation, planning, performance, deadlines, and follow-up
  • Recognize and correct building issues
  • Report any unsafe condition or property damage to supervisor immediately
  • Reorganize and maintain all storage areas currently being used within the corporate facility including but not limited to conference rooms, common areas and restrooms.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving as needed including but not limited to processing all outgoing and inbound packages and distributing them to the correct persons or department.
  • Complete miscellaneous duties/projects as assigned
  • Other duties as determined by the needs of the business
  • AVAILABLE TO WORK: MONDAY - FRIDAY, 5 AM - 3 PM
What You'll Need
  • Comply with OSHA Safety, Health and Food regulations
  • Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
  • Perform mechanic skills, including, but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting; and the repairing of packaging machines.
  • Read and interpret safety documentation, equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Basic PC skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision and with ever-changing priorities
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong organization skills to complete tasks consistently and in a timely manner
  • Available to work: Monday - Thursday, 5 AM - 3 PM
