Job Description A new initiative within the Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies, the AMDG program draws from the depths of the Jesuit tradition and its vast national and global apostolic networks, in order to energize the personal and communal religious practices of 625 youth and young adults. The program also offers mentorship development for 25 adults, who will serve as the program's Ambassadors, and up to 50 Boston College undergraduates, who will serve as Beadles for the program. Funded through the Lilly Endowment, the program will be piloted with 15 Jesuit, Catholic high schools, five colleges and universities, and five parishes. The Assistant Program Director, AMDG supports the Program Director in shaping, implementing, and evaluating this transformative initiative rooted in the Jesuit tradition and aimed at energizing the Catholic faith practices of youth and young adults. Key responsibilities include: C reate a comprehensive marketing plan with the Program Director, including: - Recruitment of institutions, Ambassadors, and participants. - Pre- and post-marketing of the program. - Ongoing communications with participants during the program. Execute logistics for retreats and pilgrimages. Assist in implementing assessment strategies to measure program effectiveness. Work closely with the Associate Director and Assistant Directors to manage the budget and financial operations, including necessary reporting to the Lilly Endowment. Manage logistics of Ambassador participation in the Institute's Certificate in Jesuit Studies program. Must have a strong understanding and ongoing awareness of the Jesuit Catholic mission. This is a temporary Grant Funded position with benefits. Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $57,800 to $72,250; salary commensurate with relevant experience. Requirements Bachelor's degree required with a strong preference for graduate degree either in theology, education, or administration Experience working in an educational environment preferred. Event and/or program management experience required. At least 2 years of increasingly responsible professional experience, preferably in secondary and/or higher education or with program and/or event experience Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Detail-oriented Adept at problem-solving Creative Ability to work effectively in a team and independently Able to work well with diverse groups of people Demonstrated leadership skills Knowledgeable about Boston College's Jesuit Catholic mission Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit During the program experiences, expect in-residence night and weekend work, as well as occasional travel for recruitment, fundraising, and grant usage reporting.
