Temporary Lab Technician About the Opportunity This role will focus on conducting basic research in the fields of synthetic biology and microbiology in the Sherbo Lab at Northeastern University. The overall research goal is to produce biofertilizers from CO2 and N2 by engineering a microbial metabolism. Responsibilities for the applicant include: Developing and engineering bacterial strains Growing bacterial culture Monitoring culture growth and small molecule production Elucidating bacterial metabolic regulation factors Data analysis and visualization Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in microbiology or related field 1+ year of research experience Knowledge of techniques related to microbial culture Knowledge of techniques related to molecular biology and molecular cloning Position Type Temporary Additional Information Northeastern University considers factors such as candidate work experience, education and skills when extending an offer.
