Experience with tissue culture, cloning, or other experience working in a molecular biology laboratory. Microscopy experience. Experience working with zebrafish or zebrafish husbandry Job Description: We are looking for a Research Technician II to join our laboratory team, where we investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms of normal and diseased hematopoiesis using zebrafish and human tissue culture cells. This position will conduct human tissue culture, cloning, mutagenesis, transgenesis, flow cytometry, microscopy, zebrafish husbandry, ordering, genotyping, and assist with maintaining and organizing the zebrafish facility and laboratory. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively (both written and oral). The candidate will have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Our lab employs diverse methods, including flow cytometry, microscopy, molecular biology, animal models, and tissue culture with a focus on human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and the study of blood disorders. Along with supporting research efforts, this position may also allow the candidate to pursue their own related research projects.
