Outpatient Clinical Care Associate - Thrive Center for Children, Families, and Communities Georgetown University comprises two unique campuses in the nation's capital. Requirements The Thrive Center for Children, Families, and Communities is dedicated to supporting the healthy development of children, individuals with disabilities, families and communities through service, partnership and scholarship. In partnership with MedStar Georgetown University, the Center has established two Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) to serve Young Adults and Adolescents who exhibit symptoms of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, schizophrenia, and other psychotic disorders. The approach of the IOPs will be focused on Health and Wellness services and research. The Thrive Center is dedicated to strengthening innovative approaches in clinical settings to promote the positive mental health, effective treatment, and full recovery of children, adolescents and families and the successful candidate will share this mission. The Out Patient Clinical Care Associate (Associate) will coordinate with the Program Lead to support the study program participants through several roles. Additional duties for this role includes but is not limited to: Coordinate intake procedures into the programs, serving as a support in group therapy sessions. Coordinate communication with schools, parents, and other support systems in patients' lives. Coordinate discharge planning and post-program follow-up care. Conduct phone screenings and review completed assessment forms with all interested patients prior to admission to the program. Coordinate additional components of care including facilitating transfer to emergency or inpatient care when clinically indicated, in support to the clinical leadership of the program. Collaborate with all involved teams and partners to ensure that patient and family needs are met. Work Interactions The Associate will report administratively to the Managing Director, and programmatically to the IOP Medical Director. The Associate will also collaborate closely with our MedStar Georgetown University team and will work closely with a variety of medical and allied health professionals on a daily basis. Importantly, the Associate will serve as the first point of contact for adolescents, young adults, families, schools and other organizations who may refer individuals for the program. The goals of this program align with Georgetown University's dedication to Cura Personalis - care for the whole person. Requirements and Qualifications A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Social Work or Psychology A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a medical or research environment or relevant combination of education and experience Previous experience working with adolescents is preferred Excellent skills in written and verbal communication and problem solving Ability to work well both collaboratively and independently Strong organizational and management skills Work Mode Designation This position has been designated as On-Campus . Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $44,022.00 - $73,406.80 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
