Fire Alarm Operator Technician - Military Veterans

The Fire Alarm Operator here at Honeywell will be responsible for monitoring our customers fire alarm systems via our EBI (Enterprise Business Intelligence) computer software. They will be tasked with conducting impairments for work being performed onsite, working closely with the site EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Department as well as the emergency response team.

This role is based in the Princeton, NJ area with regular working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. There is an opportunity for overtime and career progression.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES





  • Perform system back-ups and install appropriate updates and patches.


  • Run one-off problems, scenarios, and integrations based on the needs of the customer


  • Program EBIs (Honeywell Enterprise Building Integrator Frontend)


  • Complete required documentation for work performed or other contractual obligations.


  • Proper use of safety personal protection equipment


  • Security and other clearances as required by customer


YOU MUST HAVE





  • 2+ years of Fire & Security systems experience


  • Ability to work independently 75% of the time


  • High School Diploma or equivalent


  • Valid Drivers License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell.




WE VALUE





  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience


  • Certification in fire alarm and security systems (e.g., NICET, ESA)


  • Experience with Honeywell fire alarm and security systems


  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
