Job Summary:
The Department of Finance and Real Estate in the College of Business, at the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor in Finance. Applicants must have an ability and be qualified to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in corporate finance, investments, markets and institution and other Finance electives offered in the College of Business. Applicants must be able to maintain either Scholarly Academic (SA) or Practice Academic (PA) status for AACSB accreditation purposes
Essential Duties:
The position responsibilities will include:
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses; participating in curriculum and course development and have a commitment to student success.
- Customary service commitments to the department, college, university, community and/or profession; and
- Maintaining appropriate AACSB faculty qualification criteria as defined by the Department.
Required Qualifications:
- Possess a PhD, DBA or equivalent in Finance (or closely related field) at the time of joining the faculty or be ABD and close to finishing the PhD.
- All candidates should have a proven track record of successfully teaching Finance courses at the undergraduate and graduate level
- Professional work experience in the finance and/or financial services industries.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A willingness to engage in industry outreach to help facilitate student and program success
- An interest in conducting research to attain/maintain Scholarly Academic status for AACSB accreditation purposes (desirable but not required).
