Requirements The Center for Multicultural Equity and Access ( CMEA ) enhances the education of students who have historically experienced barriers to access and success in higher education because of race, ethnicity, national origin, socioeconomic status, and other marginalized identities. The vast social and economic inequalities disrupted a sense of justice as 'we walk with the excluded' towards a 'hope-filled future.' We actively promote access to educational attainment for diverse populations through intentional programming, services, and opportunities. The Program Coordinator supports the planning and implementation of programs that support the access and retention of students from diverse backgrounds, inclusive of students identified as first-generation, high financial need, and/or students from diverse backgrounds, as well as alumni and campus partners. This role directly fosters mattering and belonging across diverse stakeholders through honoring 'Transitions and Traditions' at Georgetown University and by managing high impact, multicultural programming, including welcome week's dinner Pangaea, Hoya Saxa Weekend, Homecoming Week/Reunion reception, and all Multicultural graduations and CMEA affiliated events. Additionally, this role serves a key purpose within the department by: Managing all marketing, technology, and communication efforts for the department. Coordinating the center's administration and operations, inclusive of overseeing the development and supervision of the CMEA student interns. Assisting with larger CMEA projects across portfolios, as needed. Work Interactions The Program Coordinator reports to CMEA's Assistant Director and works closely with CMEA Leadership and Senior Associate Dean of Students. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree; Preference to applicants in graduate student leadership/advising backgrounds Must have strong event planning and people leadership experience Strong organizational and communication skills along with familiarity with diversity issues in higher education Experience working with underserved students and families Must be a self-starter, upbeat, positive, personable, and able to manage multiple tasks and projects on an ongoing basis Work Mode Designation This position has been designated as On-Campus . Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $44,022.00 - $73,406.80 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
