Materials Manager

Honeywells ACST team is seeking a Materials Research Manager for our Golden Valley, MN location. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our materials research efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in materials science and engineering, specializing in the development and application of innovative material solutions. This leadership role will involve managing a team of engineers and researchers, driving projects from conception to implementation, and ensuring that practices are aligned with the latest advancements in material technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:





  • Manages a high performing team of Materials Scientists, Engineers, and Technicians


  • Oversees technical work, ensures team execution of customer-driven milestones and deliverables


  • Champions materials related research projects


  • Sets employees goals, manages achievement, mentors, conducts performance assessments


  • Provides direction into new products, process, standards, or op plans in alignment with business strategies


  • Manages and distributes team workload to ensure proper resource alignment


  • Ensures short- and long-term resource availability


  • Develops team strategy and materials technology roadmap


  • Establishes a materials research team support plan across E&I technology platforms




Pay Range for Roles in Specific Location:

The annual base salary or/ hourly pay range for this position is <$142 - $177>. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing.

YOU MUST HAVE:





  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics).


  • 8+ years of experience in Material Science and/or Engineering


  • 5+ years experience leading technical teams


  • Strong knowledge in material science methodologies, tools, and laboratory operations


  • S. citizenship to obtain and maintain a security clearance
