Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking an experienced Power BI Platform Developer to help support our customer at Wright Patterson AFB. This role will work closely with the organization application development team. The contractor will support organization's efforts to develop and implement the Digital Business Operations strategy. The contractor will leverage Microsoft Power Platform tools-Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI-to create innovative solutions that drive process optimization and automation that to reduce toil and improve operational efficiency. As part of the Innovation team, the contractor will develop and maintain applications using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope. Design user-friendly interfaces and ensure application performance and quality. Integrate data across apps. Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers. Troubleshoot and optimize existing applications for improved efficiency.

Essential Job Responsibilities

1. Application Development:
- Design and develop custom applications using Power Apps to meet organizational needs.
- Build automated workflows with Power Automate to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support data BI SME to build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI for data visualization.
- Create reusable components and templates to streamline the app development process.

2. Collaboration and Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective application solutions.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.

3. Advanced Functionality Implementation:
- Utilize Power Platform's advanced capabilities, including integration with Microsoft Dataverse and third-party data sources.
- Implement best practices for app development, data management, and user experience to ensure clarity and usability.
- Build a platform in Azure that can digest forms, populate a structured database, and leverage Azure OpenAI for processing.

4. Data Integration:
- Implement data integration solutions across Power Apps, connecting to various data sources such as SharePoint, SQL Server, and external APIs.
- Support Data SME to develop and manage data models to ensure seamless data flow between applications.
- Utilize Power Automate to create workflows that integrate data across different systems, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Provide technical expertise in leveraging Power Platform to address specific business challenges and support data-driven decision-making.

5. Training and Knowledge Sharing:
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate users on Power Platform tools and best practices.
- Foster a culture of digital literacy within the RQ by sharing insights, tips, and techniques for citizen development.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Power Platform, providing mentorship and support to team members as needed.

6. Guide Environment Setup
- Set up a new Power Platform environment through the Microsoft Power Platform admin center.
- Determine the type of environment needed (e.g., production, development, test) based on organizational requirements.
- Guide definition and configuration of security roles to ensure proper access control for users and administrators.
- Establish best practices for application development, including naming conventions, version control, and coding standards.
- Set up monitoring tools to track performance, usage, and any issues within the Power Platform environment.

Minimum Qualifications

10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.

Active Secret or ability to obtain a clearance.
