Starting Pay Rate : Per Adjunct Faculty Pay Scale Schedule Information : Days/evenings/weekends depending upon course schedule This posting will be used to obtain a pool of qualified candidates for the above subjects. As teaching needs arise, these applications will be reviewed for possible interviews The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Job Description : Teach classes in academic Reading, Writing, Grammar, Communication Skills, and related areas to English as a Second Language students. Courses in the academic ESL program prepare students for higher education and professional goals. Courses range from high-beginning to advanced level; some courses are part of our Intensive English Program. Education Requirements : Master's degree in TESOL/Applied Linguistics or closely related area is required. Experience Requirements : Required: Three years of teaching experience. Preferred: Teaching experience in English as a Second Language for Academic Purposes (EAP) in higher education in the United States. Native or near-native proficiency in English Required Documents : A resume and cover letter are required to complete the application process * Official transcripts required upon hire * Employment is contingent upon Criminal Background Check. * Employment sponsorship is not available.
