Logistics Coordinator - Military Veterans
at Love's Travel Stops
BASIC PURPOSE: The primary purpose of the Logistics Coordinator is to communicate with Gemini Truck Drivers who are delivering fuel to Love’s stores.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot logistics, inventory management and supply chain related problems; providing solutions for resolution
- Handle incoming chat messages, emails, and calls from truck drivers.
- Assist drivers with questions about their schedules and update the fuel dispatch software as needed.
- Forecast truck stop fuel demand using inventory replenishment/dispatch software (TelaPoint), ensuring Love’s locations maintain healthy fuel inventory levels at the cheapest price possible.
- Provide quality customer service to stores and drivers.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Meet departmental standards regarding communication metrics.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Education:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
- Experience:
- 0-2 years of experience in Fuel Dispatch, Transportation Industry, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Skills:
- Capable of managing 200+ emails per shift.
- Ability to manage numerous competing demands in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to problem solve.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be highly organized.
- Willingness/ability to accept continual training and constructive criticism.
- Basic Microsoft Windows / Office experience.
- Typical Physical Demands:
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Training Schedule: Our paid training class which takes place at the office. It is Monday-Friday and is typically from around 8am-5pm (training typically lasts about 4 weeks).
- Work Shift: TBD, your work shift and workdays will be determined after you complete the training class. The work schedule is dependent on business need
