The Digital Workplace Services Architect designs, develops, and maintains a robust, state-of-the-art digital workplace services system for the University. The Architect collaborates with cross-functional teams to evaluate business requirements, design digital workplace solutions, and oversee the implementation and maintenance of digital workplace systems and tools. The Digital Workplace Services Architect conceptualizes digital workplace standards, guidelines, cutting-edge practices, and approved digital workplace techniques and approaches. The Architect acts as a visionary for the University's digital workplace vision and goals.
This role involves the conceptualization, planning, designing, and implementation of comprehensive and integrated information technology (IT) solutions for university initiatives, departments, or the entire University. Responsibilities include implementing the vision of top management to establish an IT conceptual architecture that is time-independent, allowing for the phased implementation of specific technologies over time with the ability to smoothly transition through technology changes. The Architect demonstrates a keen awareness of departmental or University-wide needs and long-term goals, researches and prototypes emerging technologies and approaches, and works on issues that impact project success or address future concepts, products, or technologies. The role requires comprehending and coordinating with university initiatives when appropriate, as well as adhering to various IT technology standards, best practices, and strategies for infrastructure growth. The Architect often serves as a consultant to related management efforts.
The Digital Workplace Services Architect will positively impact UCSF's operations and culture by ensuring UCSF's IT digital workplace communications services are integrated and effective in service of the university's academic mission. The Architect will advance the University's mission by delivering exceptional information technology services comprehensively and consistently across faculty, staff, and students. This role will execute UCSF's vision while modeling UCSF's culture and values.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $124,400 - $291,600 (Annual Rate).
