Job Description:
Summary
The Audiovisual Support II position at Iowa State University involves planning, installing, and maintaining audiovisual technology systems across campus. Key responsibilities include managing audiovisual system installations, such as cable management, equipment mounting, configuration, and testing, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The role also includes troubleshooting and repairing audiovisual equipment, providing ongoing maintenance for campus learning spaces and conference rooms, and responding to urgent service requests. Additionally, the position involves training faculty, staff, and students on audiovisual technology and collaborating with other technical teams on campus.
Example of Duties
Researches, estimates, designs, plans, and installs technology systems.
Plans and performs complex maintenance for classrooms, conference rooms and other campus spaces with audiovisual technology needs.
Maintains audio-visual equipment and troubleshoots problems.
Trains and mentors students and staff regarding technology issues.
Ensures guidelines and protocols are met for all audiovisual systems.
Collaborates with contractors.

Completes assignments which are moderately difficult or difficult
