Product Line Sales Manager - Military Veterans

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Product Line Sales Manager. This role will take place at our growing facility in Hodges, SC. We are able to offer relocation assistance for qualified candidates residing in the United States.

 

The Product Line Sales Manager provides leadership in formulation and implementation of product line strategy, marketing plans and growth programs, and new product development / customer value propositions to enhance sales and profitability growth for the Busway product line. This role leads all aspects of VOC (voice of customer), administering the process and implementing collection for the product line. You are responsible for driving and completing all marketing activities and documents required for Pro-Launch New Product Development projects. You're also is involved in business development with the extended product line and engineering team.  
You will work closely with the Busway Engineering team and CPA product line teams to drive customer solutions and innovation. This Sales Manager will have an excellent knowledge of the product line’s customers (Contractors, Industrial Users, and wholesale distribution), core and emerging vertical market segments and a thorough understanding of the dynamics of selling new and emerging technologies.
 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120075.03 - $176110.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:



  • Work closely with the Product Line manager and product line team to achieve profit plan financials with a focus on end to end profitability and sales growth
  • For innovation and new product development, own, lead and execute the VOC (voice of customer) process and collection into the product line.  Transform inputs into new product development ideas and projects.  Execute all marketing responsibilities, documents required in Pro-Launch new product development projects.  Provide Product Roadmap input and drive key alignment to CPA product lines.
  • Execute all product launches (hard and soft), working closely with marketing communications, engineering, sales and product line teams.
  • Develop, update and implement the Busway Marketing plan (annual).  Create required product line sales tools, collateral and communications.  Lead product line’s participation in division wide marketing programs.
  • Work closely with the Product Line Manager in strategic planning and the development of the product line strategic plan.
  • Perform competitive analysis and development product competitive comparisons as needed.  Maintain a pulse on the competition (their product offering, footprint, and go to market strategy).

Qualifications:



Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering, sales, sales support, marketing, or product management with technical products.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing from an accredited institution
  • Masters Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years product or marketing related experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of customer-facing sales or marketing experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing others
  • Strong working knowledge of e-Tools, Bid Manager, Mentor, Sales Reporting, VISTA.

Skills:



  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Good business acumen. Ability to develop and execute tactical and strategic plans.
  • Proven track record of business / customer development in assigned responsibilities.    
  • Must be able to travel as necessary to effectively interface with customers and other required contacts, to work at various outside/activities, or other job-related assignment (approx. 15%-20%).
  • Ability to teach, coach, council, and motivate others – especially direct reports to achieve product line goals & objectives.
  • Negotiation philosophy, strategies, and tactics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills.  Interfaces include upper management, peers, subordinates, and customers.
  • Excellent computer skills MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) – Intermediate-to-Advanced experience with MS Excel for the use of data analysis to aid business decisions.
  • Responsible for determining orders potential, staffing requirements, objective setting, and performance monitoring.
  • Manages mix of competitive price levels, product designs, and service that result in meeting sales objectives and positively impacting the product line's profitability.
