Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a strong background in bookkeeping and construction job costing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing all facets of the company’s financial transactions.

Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping and job costing.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient with Quickbooks Online; 3+ years of experience.
- Proficient with Quickbooks Online Payroll.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and highly organized.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Integrity, transparency, and confidentiality required.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of payroll and payroll tax requirements.


Additional Skills:
- Experience with JobNimbus software a plus; but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of construction/roofing industry accounting is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Office programs.


Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll for approximately 20 employees, to include posting bills, creating invoices, posting payments, etc.
- Perform monthly bank account and credit card reconciliations.
- Record job costing entries and produce reports to track project profitability.
- Maintain accurate records of fixed assets.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare and file all necessary payroll tax forms and reports in a timely manner.
- File monthly sales tax report.
- File monthly Worker’s Compensation audit report.
- Prepare for annual General Liability and Worker’s Comp audits.
- Maintain accurate and compliant vendor and subcontractor files.
