Job Summary
Essential Functions
- Maintain Accounts Receivable portfolio for Doggett Services.
- Have working knowledge of the Texas and Louisiana Lien Law process.
- Have working knowledge of 3 rd party payable portals (ie. SAP/Ariba, Cognizant, etc).
- Make collection calls/emails on past due accounts and enter notes in the system.
- Research short payments/disputed invoices and work with sales department to resolve issues.
- Email/Fax invoice copies, complete credit request inquires and update tax information.
- Provide credit approval for charges for receivable accounts held by Doggett.
- Send out demand letters and prepare files to be sent to an outside collection agency.
- Set up cash accounts and update account information.
- Review rental contracts for insurance coverage and ability to charge to an active rental account.
- Assist Credit Management with projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting (Preferred but not required)
- 4+ years of accounting experience in accounts receivables and collections.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Excel
- Excellent customer relations and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Applicant must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
Travel Requirements
- No travel required
- Standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending on a frequent basis
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Environmental Conditions
This position will work in an air-conditioned office, but may be required to conduct business outdoors with customers as needed
