A Facilities SCADA Software Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Boise, ID area. This role involves programming and maintaining SCADA and HMI systems for gas and contamination control, providing technical support, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring system performance and regulatory compliance, with a focus on HVAC and water monitoring systems.

responsibilities:
- Program HMIs and related SCADA systems for gas and contamination control groups.
- Work directly with Controls Engineering and Operations teams to integrate design requirements into programming efforts.
- Assist with equipment startup and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot, test, and de-bug existing software and systems.
- Maintain good communication with Operations and Engineering teams.
- Work with support groups (Environmental, IT, Corporate Facilities Management) to meet PLC/SCADA system standards and requirements.
- Maintain standards, specifications, and procedures for HMI, PLC, and SCADA programming.
- Provide field support as needed by Facilities Operations teams.
- Program HVAC and Water monitoring and control systems, and provide support for other systems.
- Write and coordinate system data reports using Tableau and Power BI.
Skills:
- Experience with PLCs is a plus.
- Familiarity with communication servers like Omni Server, TOP Server, OPC servers, or similar.
- Experience with C# (preferred), HTML, Java, ASP.NET, C/C++, messaging/communication architecture.
- Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently.
- Self-motivated and dependable worker, able to maintain good customer relations.
- Experience with Wonderware InTouch, System Platform, or similar platforms.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum AAS in Electrical Engineering, Programming, or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
