The Manager, Strategic Engagement Marketing, Specialty - Congresses role is charged with ensuring a high quality and customer engagement focused presence at medical congresses in support of specialty brand missions to serve patients. This position requires strategic thinking, leadership, cross-functional collaboration, planning and organizing skills. This individual will work closely with brand marketing in the SBU to manage and execute our promotional presence at various congresses. This is a marketing role and will require abiding by all marketing policies and maintaining appropriate coordination with medical, compliance, legal and regulatory guidelines. Reports to the Director, HCP Engagement.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of our congress marketing strategy and tactics in order to effectively and meaningfully educate and engage with our customers through in-person and virtual congress presence
  • Collaborate on development of the commercial congress strategy, in partnership with marketing, medical and sales leadership
  • Own the supplier relationships to manage logistics of booth construction and transportation, facilitate pre-congress training, and execute delivery of congress content, including key day-to-day congress operations and sales force support
  • Leverage data and analytics to inform and improve future execution and build performance metrics for leadership
  • Bring forward innovative ideas and lead agencies to ensure that promotional booth content is delivered in an engaging and forward-looking fashion
  • Measure and leverage customer experience data to determine opportunities to optimize customer journeys, including identification of innovation and 'test and learn' opportunities
  • Manage budgets and closely monitor performance, ensuring efficient delivery of all programs.
  • Other duties as assigned


Why You?

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of work experience in one or more of the following: field sales, product marketing, or medical / clinical experience in the same or related therapeutic area within the pharmaceutical / biotech industry
  • Experience working in the Specialty (e.g., Respiratory Biologic and/or Immunology) biologic marketplace
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel ~40% throughout the US for meetings/trainings/programs as necessary
  • Must live near a major airport


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Marketing and or sales management experience
  • Understanding and experience working across an organization to engage effectively with HCPs
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups, targeting presentation to the needs of the audience
  • Strong project management experience, including superior analytical and planning skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated strong orientation to ethics and compliance
  • Ability to assemble and lead cross-functional teams toward a shared vision of success
  • Ability to deliver agreed objectives under tight timelines
