Job Description:
The Program Director will deliver the full breadth of Enterprise IT services for a large Government Agency. The scope of responsibility includes infrastructure operations and engineering, network services, on-prem and cloud hosting, cyber security, help desk and desktop support. The successful candidate will oversee and manage all aspects of the Government Contract and will serve as the primary liaison between GDIT staff and Federal Leadership. The Program Director will also have responsibility for program execution, staff development, contract management, and financial management.
HOW A PROGRAM DIRECTOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Position GDIT as trusted advisor with Federal Government Clients. Lead teams to meet and exceed SLAs and KPIs while mitigating risks, controlling costs and managing to schedules.
- Work with the team to develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
- Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes including an ITIL framework.
- Manage and oversee subcontractors, as well as full time employees.
- Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract.
- Act as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholders.
Required:
- 10+ years of experience managing Cost Plus Award Fee government services contracts valued over 55 million a year
- 10+ years experience managing programs with a geographically dispersed team sized of over 200 persons, supporting federal enterprise IT Operations and engineering, to include networking, data center ops, cloud, cyber security, and end user services.
- 10+ years-experience leveraging ITIL/ITSM frameworks to improve service availability, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Experience managing SLAs/KPIs on enterprise IT environments with 15,000+ users, multiple/global locations, and thousands of servers.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies.
- Experience leveraging data analytics and insights to drive program strategy.
- Must have completed ITIL v4 Foundation and one or more available modules toward the ITIL 4 Strategic Leader (ITIL-4 SL) certification
- Program Management Professional (PMI-PgMP) certification is strongly preferred.
- ITIL 4 Strategic Leader certification.
- Recent experience (within the last 5 years) coordinating an organization's shift toward implementing and executing modern IT delivery methodologies (e.g., DevSecOps, Agile, AIOps).
- Experience providing oversight of Projects and Engineering Teams.
- Experience in delivering and maturing ITSM using ServiceNow.
- Experience managing a program in a Cost-Plus Award Fee environment.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- Location: Remote with 25-50% travel to Washington DC.
- Timeline: This position is expected to start in January of 2025.
- Clearance: Must be able to pass a government security investigation and maintain Public Trust suitability.
The likely salary range for this position is $187,000 - $253,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
