Job Description
This role is a key leadership position, accountable to identify, prioritize, and lead key strategic initiatives that support the US Vaccines franchise. The person in this role will be responsible for leading the on-going tactical operations of the franchise including facilitation of key meetings, oversight and strategic pull through of key projects, programs, and communications. The role will report directly to the SVP, US Vaccines, providing strategic and operational support for the US Vaccines Leadership Team.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Strategic and operational priorities setting and Trimester tracking
- Oversee large and often cross-functional org-wide projects or initiatives in support of strategic priorities e.g. OME Capabilities, Agile Marketing Model , BU prioritization, BU Society Meeting and Congress Strategy, Internship and Rotational Opportunities, i.e. MBA summer intern program/CLDP/GMAP/Pharm D fellow, Year Up Interns, Skill Bridge
- Key communications and execution of US Vaccine BU Town Halls
- Organizing and managing key Leadership Team meetings, e.g., for LT, Ext. LT, Vaccine Leader Forum
- Oversee the HHDDA, Talent, Culture & DEI Working Groups along side LT Sponsors
- Oversee employee development initiatives, including BU objectives
- Forcasting and Profit Plan Point for the BU
- Coordinated key meetings with Global Vaccines team
- Tracks healthcare and vaccines trends
- Management of the Vaccine BU Capability Lead, responsible for the functional skill building of the Vaccine BU HQ team.
Required Experience and Skills:
- 5 years of business experience in marketing, sales, market access & pricing, marketing support or related experiences in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries
- Ability to drive initiatives forward
- Strong collaboration skills, both within commercial teams and cross divisional teams
- Ability to work with and influence senior leaders, courage and ability to speak up
- Ability to clearly articulate messages/information
- Ability to work within complex organizations and lead without authority
- Ability to work through white space, with learning agility
- Strategic thinker with innovative mindset and ability to solve problems and make critical decisions and recommendations among a range of strategic choices
- Balance of strategic and operational capabilities
- Strong ability to prioritize with or without oversight or direction
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor, manage, and provide clear expectations and priorities, with or without direct authority, by inspiring and creating a shared vision
- Robust written/verbal/listening skills and experience presenting in high-visibility settings
