Be responsible for providing technical expertise on a variety of projects and programs. You will use your expert knowledge of engineering discipline and standards, processes and tools to complete and ensure compliance with UOP, specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards. You are the point of contact for external customers and will help to develop and define engineering processes in your area of expertise. You may participate in development of new business opportunities and product lines.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting and supervising activities of the Static Equipment group, responsible for providing design engineering, requisitioning, vendor drawing and calculation review, fabrication support, and inspection activities for various static equipment required for Equipment Product Lines.
Managing resource planning and handling direct supervision of contract service workers and/or purchased services for the Static Equipment group.Assisting with their on-boarding, mentorship and coaching through execution of project support.
The engineer will be assigned as a team member to multiple contracts at any given point in time. She/ he will be the prime internal technical contact for all matters related to Reactors and its internals / Pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers,Tanks and other static equipment on those contracts. She/ he shall closely collaborate with the other team members from disciplines such as Process, Piping, Mechanical, CAD-design and Project Management.
Design and detail engineering of pressure vessels / heat exchangers /Tanks as per international codes such as ASME Section VIII Div.- 1 & 2, PD 5500, TEMA, API 650,
API 660, API 661, API 663 and shall have experience with design software Compress, PV Elite, Aspen (B-JAC) and HTRI.
Thermal rating/ thermal design and mechanical design (including design calculations) of various types of heat exchangers for refinery and petrochemical plants. Candidate should be capable of independently doing mechanical & thermal design of heat exchangers and should be familiar with all aspect of mechanical design of both heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering
8 or more years of applicable industry experience
5 years experience in static equipment design, specification and/or manufacture of Pressure Vessels per ASME Section VIII D1 or D2.
WE VALUE
Ability to lead, motivate, develop and mentor others
Advanced knowledge of ASME Section VIII D1 requirements related to Vessel Design, Welding, PWHT, and Non-Destructive Examination.
Involvement with ASME Code Committees
Significant experience in Vessel Design software such as Compress or PV-Elite
Ability to analyze and solve complex and challenging problems
Experience working in global teams across time zones
Track record of successful contribution to products & projects
