EHS Specialist Intern - Summer 2025

The Role:
Our site in Aurora, IL is seeking a/an EHS Specialist Intern to join our team for the Summer 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 12-14 weeks in duration.
The person filling this position reports to the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager and will play a critical role in promoting effective initiatives that achieve industry best Occupational Health and Safety of EHS and sustainability performance.

What You'll Do:
• Engage and collaborate with personnel at all levels to implement and manage industry best environmental, health, safety, and sustainability programs.
• Assist with the implementation and management of global EHS Programs.
• Assist with in person EHS training classes.
• Assist with the implementation of corrective actions to eliminate safety hazards.
• Support the design review of new projects and modifications to existing processes and facilities to identify and resolve EHS issues.
• Participate in committees that support our OHS/EHS Management System.
• Conduct risk and ergonomic assessments and recommend improvements.
• Review the Industrial Hygiene Program, including monitoring, analyzing results, and ensuring proper controls and awareness
• Champion a culture of EHS excellence by promoting engagement and buy-in

What We Seek:
• Three years of study completed in occupational safety, occupational health, engineering, environmental science, or other EHS-related technical discipline from an accredited college/university.
• Flexibility to occasionally work scheduled hours outside of the normally assigned schedule.
• Familiarity with MS Office.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
• Four or more years of study
• Previous experience in manufacturing environment

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
Canidates should have three years or more of study in:
• Occupational safety
• Occupational health
• Engineering
• Environmental science, or other EHS-related technical discipline from an accredited college/university

Eligibility:

• Must be a currently enrolled student
• Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May or June through mid-August or September
• Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in an internship program
• Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.

Compensation

•$20-$30 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
