Mechanic Supervisor - Industrial - Military Veterans

Salary Range

$25.21-$32.1

Performs skilled mechanical and first-line supervisory work involving the maintenance and repair of lift station and/or treatment plant machinery and equipment. Work is performed under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. Performance is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation, inspection of equipment, performance of equipment, and conferences with management.


Minimum Qualifications:


High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and four (4) years experience in heavy industrial mechanical maintenance including comminutors, pumps, motors, valves, gauges, and engines, some of which must have been in a lead or supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Must have a cell/home telephone or be able to be contacted in an emergency work situation. Must pass annual respirator physical; no facial hair allowed between the face and the sealing surface of the respirator face piece. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, technical manuals and bulletins

Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) badge required to work at Water Conerv I Facility.


IRON BRIDGE FACILITY POSITIONS: Valid Florida Class B CDL desired.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:

  • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
  • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
  • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
  • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
