The NYU Grossman School of Medicine's Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology seeks to identify a Director, Dermatology Clinical Studies Unit.  The Director will oversee the clinical and administrative staff, serve as Principal Investigator for clinical trials in areas of their interest and oversee trials in which other faculty serve as PI. The remainder of the Director's time will be devoted to the provision of clinical dermatology care. 

The Department has upheld a tradition of leadership and excellence that spans the history of dermatology in the United States.  Our education program provides dermatologic instruction for students of NYU Grossman School of Medicine, specialty training for residents and fellows at NYU Langone Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital Center and the Department of Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Health System-Manhattan Campus; and advanced training for experienced physicians through the NYU Department of Continuing Medical Education. The Department of Dermatology is also a center for collaborative investigations that addresses significant dermatologic problems through basic science, and clinical/translational research.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to join a high quality program with a national reputation for teaching, research and state of the art patient care.

Candidates must have experience in all aspects of the conduct and oversight of clinical trials in Dermatology including pharmaceutical and investigator-initiated trials. Experience at garnering external funding from governmental and foundation sources is a plus. Candidates must be  board certified in Dermatology and hold a New York State license at the time of proposed employment. 

Compensation and appointment level will be commensurate with experience.

Base Salary: $230,000-$270,000
