Position Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating activities and identifying new appropriate experiments for undergraduate Earth and Environmental Sciences instructional laboratories, primarily at the introductory level, including laboratory set-up, support and maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate and advanced degree in Geoscience, Earth and Environmental Science or Geoscience Education required.
A minimum of one year of previous teaching experience (as teacher or teaching assistant) in high school, and/or college/university setting required.
Experience in laboratory work and knowledge of safety rules and procedures.
Knowledge of geology, chemistry, physics and biology.
Knowledge of educational practices.
Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical repair procedures; maintenance and repair procedures for polarized light microscopes.
