Your Role

Atlas Copco is an international leader in the design and production of turbomachinery equipment. We participate in a variety of markets which include industrial gases, marine, LNG transport, midstream, renewables & energy recovery, and power generation. Our Voorheesville, NY facility specializes in the production of integrally geared compressors and companders, custom engineered to serve our customers. Engineering, Manufacturing and Test operations are present on site.

As a Manufacturing Co-op, you will report to the Manufacturing Engineer and work closely alongside the industrial engineering team. Under the supervision of the Manufacturing Engineer, you will assist the Industrial Engineering department in process improvement in accordance with ISO standards.

As a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op:

  • You will revise and generate Standard Operating Procedures & Work Instructions related to impeller manufacturing to accurately reflect processes in accordance with ISO standards.
  • You will develop accurate and effective quoting and routing tools.
    • Review historical data from SAP and utilize findings to improve future accuracy by updating existing routings and developing new routing tools based on the findings.
    • Redevelop existing tools and create new ones to allow accurate quoting of impellers and other components with a simplified user interface for use by others utilizing The Wiki, SharePoint, and MS Office tools.
  • You will assist with the development and maintenance of internal standards and tools.
  • You will participate in continuous improvement efforts.

To succeed, you will need

  • To be actively pursuing a B.S. Degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • You are available for a Co-op during the Winter and Spring term.
