Overview
The Sr. Manager Creative and Content will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of creative strategies and content initiatives across multiple platforms, in support of T. Marzetti brand objectives. This role will primarily support the Retail Business Unit but will also provide support to the Foodservice Business Unit and other internal requests for creative content (i.e. company handbooks, signage, etc.) . This includes leading the creative direction for marketing campaigns, digital content, product launches, and brand communications. Your goal will be to partner with brand leads to bring our brand stories to life in engaging ways that resonate with our target audience and drive brand awareness and engagement that lead to sales.
Responsibilities
- Creative Leadership:
- Lead the creation and execution of the overall brand aesthetic and content strategy across all channels (digital, social, print, packaging, video, etc.)
- Ensure brand consistency in all creative assets and content produced, aligning with the company’s mission, values, and marketing objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, sales) to develop creative campaigns that support product launches, seasonal promotions, and corporate initiatives.
- Content Development:
- Develop engaging, on-brand content for digital platforms (social media, website, email marketing, blogs, etc.), as well as offline media (packaging, point of sale, and print materials).
- Oversee the production of high-quality visual assets including photography, videography, and design.
- Manage content calendars and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient content delivery.
- Advise on optimizations to content creation processes including how to be more efficient.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership:
- Lead a small team of internal and contract creative resources (graphic designers, content creators, photographers, etc.) and external agency partners.
- Foster a collaborative and creative environment that encourages innovation, experimentation, and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Provide direction, feedback, and mentorship to team members, ensuring their professional development.
- Brand Strategy & Storytelling:
- Partner with brand leads to creative brand storytelling initiatives to emotionally connect with consumers, amplifying the brand’s unique voice and values.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to ensure the brand stays fresh, relevant, and innovative with their content and approach to delivering their stories.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop messaging that speaks to both the product’s benefits and the lifestyle of the consumer.
- Performance Analysis:
- Measure and analyze the performance of creative campaigns and content, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Utilize analytics tools to track engagement, conversion, and ROI to continuously refine and improve content strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 7+ years of experience in creative direction, content creation, or marketing within the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) or food industry.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional creative work across digital and traditional channels, with an emphasis on consumer-driven content.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire creative teams and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Expertise in digital marketing, social media platforms, and content management systems (CMS).
- Experience with photography, video production, and design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, brand-aligned copy.
- A deep understanding of branding, visual design principles, and consumer psychology.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Working Conditions/Environment
Works in a normal office environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility. The noise level in the office is quiet. Occasional travel to plants or meetings is required.
