Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you are responsible for directing in-house crews and subcontractors. Also, they work directly with customers and are involved in bidding and billing projects. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you're up for the challenge.
In addition, you will:
- Manage and lead internal and external project teams to ensure on-budget and on-schedule delivery.
- Report and communicate to the external customer(s) and internal management each day.
- Build processes and teams required to deliver all project requirements.
- Lead weekly meetings with the client and project team.
- Assign resources to projects and direct them on the overall tasks needed to be completed.
- Submit each project for billing once complete.
- Approve timesheets and daily logs.
- Ensure the team has the correct equipment needed for the project.
- Collaborate with other mangers to ensure a seamless flow through the fielding, design, and QC process.
- Evaluate team members and develop performance improvement plans.
- Develop tools and practices to monitor team productivity. Compile and deliver productivity reports to supervisor.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
About You:
- Must have a solid knowledge of aerial and underground telecommunications outside and inside plant with competency in telecom technologies, networks, and business processes.
- OSP Fiber engineering experience
- You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
- You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
- You are looking for long-term projects
- You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- You have 3 years of AT&T Engineering project experience.
- You have advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- You have advanced experience with all AT&T proprietary systems. ARAMIS, MIC, WALDO, ORCA, etc
- Intermediate experience in schedule management.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks.
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to identify and distinguish colors.
- Able to read workprints accurately.
- Able to communicate progress, highlight issues, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
- Possess safety training and knowledge of OSHA requirements.
