Lead and coordinate risk management activities for the Wholesale Finance by partnering with audit, compliance, and GCO teams to implement and maintain effective risk governance frameworks. Manage documentation, assessments, and communication of risk-related processes while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational policies. Develop and execute comprehensive risk management strategies to protect organizational assets and ensure regulatory compliance by managing risk assessments, control frameworks, and governance processes across the department. Partner with key stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks while maintaining effective controls and documentation standards.LOCATION:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Apply a comprehensive understanding of how the organization operates to ensure appropriate risk mitigation controls and identify existing issues within the department.
2. Manage efforts of the department and other risk areas in the development and implementation of risk and governance policies, procedures and processes and related controls to minimize operational risks.
3. Drive communication between all affected parties to develop and implement appropriate controls for new processes, transactions, and products.
4. Partner with and manage relationships across Audit, Governance and Control Office, and Compliance teams to drive completion of critical risk requirements, including:
- Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
- Issues identification and remediation management
- Development and maintenance of procedures and controls
- Regulatory reporting requirements and deadlines
- Risk monitoring and assessment activities
5. Manage system of record (ARCHER) to support risk framework for the department, including maintenance of risk documentation, monitoring of key risk indicators and tracking of action plans.
6. Work alongside CFO Finance Controls and Execution Leader in the management of regulatory examinations and internal audits, as requested.
7. Coordinate with auditors (internal and external) and SOX Program Management to ensure adequate documentation of SOX controls and potential SOX deficiencies if applicable.
8. Facilitate reviews, change assessments related to business process, regulatory and organizational changes as well as issue management and remediation.
9. Create comprehensive presentations for regular updates to senior leader on risk assessments, action plans, emerging risks and remediation status to ensure transparency and alignment on risk management activities within the CFO Finance space.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance and/or Risk/Compliance related field or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience
2. Eight to twelve years of experience in operational/enterprise risk related management, including but not limited to audit, operations, process engineering or risk management
3. Experience with governance and controls technology including Archer and Clarity
4. Project management, consulting or management experience
5. Strong knowledge of SOX and other industry-related regulatory requirements
6. Professional communications and presentation skills
7. Strong relationship management skills
8. Must be independent and able to work unsupervised, with guidance only in the most complex situations
9. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Operational and regulatory knowledge of financial institutions (e.g. banks, loan companies) as it relates to governance and controls
2. Master's degree or MBA. Previous experience in the banking industry
