A Designer is needed for a utility holding company in the Edina, MN area. This role involves creating, updating, and revising GIS-based or manual drafting documents, 2D/3D models, and supporting design documentation while interpreting customer requirements, engineering drawings, and project specifications.

responsibilities:
- Create, update, and revise sketches, working drawings, and contract documents using GIS software or manual drafting techniques.
- Develop 2D and 3D models to meet customer requirements.
- Read and comprehend detailed customer requirements, data sheets, and supplier specifications.
- Complete assignments based on input from project engineering, architectural, or technical services staff under the supervision of a manager.
- Assist engineering personnel with construction-related issues.
- Ensure all work aligns with customer requirements and project specifications.
- Prepare documentation to support design drawings, including:
- Bills of material.
- Schedules.
- Formal drawing transmittals.
Skills:
- Familiarity with drafting techniques and engineering concepts and terminology.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency in GIS software and manual drafting methods.
- strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and designs.
