Gibsonton, Florida is looking forward to adding the passionate Ceramic Product
Engineer to the team! You will join a team of experts and skilled workers with
an opportunity to learn and meet ongoing growth targets. You will work in
collaboration with the design team during and after product development and
will have the opportunity to lead core development projects!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Actively
participates with Siemens Energy design colleagues, during and after
product development. - Defines
process-relevant core geometry in collaboration with Siemens Energy
engineering and internal resources. - Participates
in design review and quotes. - Plans
material and equipment needs for new components. - Collaborate
with internal and external customer representatives to develop new
products and support general program requirements. - Leads
core development projects. - Review
customer specifications and blueprints to determine the procedures,
testing, and routing sequences vital to meet requirements. - Uses
process knowledge, basic engineering principles, previous experience, and
creativity as vital to developing processes. - Interprets
dimensional and other data to find opportunities and implement product
improvements. - Recommends
tooling improvements and coordinates reworks, including validation of
results.
What You Bring
- BS in
Mechanical Engineering or another related field - 3+
more years of experience in investment casting supply chain (core or
casting preferred). Those with more years of experience may be considered
for a higher level. - Aerospace
casting experience preferred. - Six
Sigma training preferred (Green or Black Belt). - Applicants
must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the
need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens
Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for
internal transfers. - This
position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce,
Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State,
Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is
a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with
export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power
generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power
generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and
digitalization of the fleet.
