The Alaka'ina Foundation Family of Companies, LLC is looking for a qualified Systems Administrator V to support our government customer located at Fort Eustis, Virginia . DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES : Provides system administration and maintains security for users, systems, servers, and storage. Installs, upgrades, configures, tests, maintains, and supports operating system software in a production environment. Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment. Responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving IT hardware and software infrastructure issues related to user systems, servers, storage, and network connectivity using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate functional specifications. Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure. Establishes and maintains user accounts and file permissions. Participates in reviewing performance logs and monitors system performance. Troubleshoots and resolves basic level system hardware, software and communications problems and aids in performing configurations and adjustments to enhance database file capacity. Performs automated and manual backup and restore processes. Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backup. Use ticketing system to monitor, manage, and track incidents and requests from supported users. Troubleshoot PKI and CAC login implementation when applicable. Deploy, maintain, manage, and troubleshoot VMWare, vSphere client, and ESXi hosts to include updates and upgrades. Perform and maintain system backups and snapshots. Knowledge of ACAS reporting standards a plus. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION : Bachelor’s Degree required, preferred degree in computer science or IT related field. IAT Level II Certification Required (i.e. CCNA Security, Security+ CE, GSEC, GIC SP, S SCP, CySA+**) IAW AR 25-2 REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE : Windows Server 2019 and above VMware and vCenter (version 7 and above) Must be able to use and understand Security Compliance Application Protocols (SCAP) tools. Must be able to use Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) tools, create STIG checklists, and be able to read, understand, report, and remediate findings in STIG checklists. Must be able to work as a team member and provide concise updates, verbally and written, as required Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize various tasks and suspenses. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE : VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) certification a plus Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL version 6 and above) experience a plus REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE : Must be a U.S. Citizen Secret Clearance Required   The Alakaina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is a fast-growing government service provider.
