The Team Lead for Records Management Operations will oversee and manage a team responsible for maintaining records management and controlled unclassified information (CUI) that supports the ADM client in Alexandria, VA. This role involves ensuring compliance with federal regulations, overseeing the records lifecycle, and leading a team to provide timely and accurate records management practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, expertise in records management, and a strong understanding of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) requirements. This position will report directly to the contract’s Project Manager and frequently interact with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of records management specialists to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular team evaluations.
- Defines and enhances computer applications used, works closely with management to know the plans and goals to make immediate developments on the system.
- Conducts surveys to consider user needs and captures marketing research data
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Implements agency-wide records and information governance using Microsoft 365 SharePoint/SharePoint Records Center and OneDrive Compliance Center
- Implement and maintain records management policies and procedures per agency guidelines and federal regulations.
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, retrieval, and disposition of records alongside the client throughout their lifecycle.
- Ensure that all Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) is managed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies.
- Experienced with using Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on CUI handling, safeguarding, and dissemination controls.
- Develop and monitor operational plans to meet contract deliverables and deadlines.
- Prepare reports and presentations detailing operational progress, compliance status, and team performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing records management processes and implementing best practices.
- Utilize technology and automation tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in records management operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of experience in records management.
- Experience working on federal government contracts is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of federal records management regulations (e.g., NARA guidelines, 36 CFR Chapter XII).
- Familiarity with Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) guidelines (32 CFR Part 2002) and best practices.
- Proficiency with records management systems and tools, such as electronic records management systems (ERMS) and content management platforms.
- Proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance. Active Secret Clearance Preferred.
