Position Specific Description
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, an ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced trading & sales environment and resourcefulness to handle challenges. Experience with at least one of the following preferred: sales, electricity, natural gas, contract administration.
Job Overview
Employees in this role will actively support team origination and trading efforts for FPL using technical desk-top office type activities, including identifying new customers, research to gain an understanding of customer potential demand for RECs, researching and analyzing public information and applying current business strategies to help the origination Team. Employees in this role support the Senior Traders and Originators with their activities, and also to develop presentation materials for potential customers, work on market intelligence materials and team reporting needs.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for portfolio position tracking/reconciliation in excel and in ETRM.
- Manage REC inventory transfers and retirements
- Support transaction activity by managing interactions with legal, credit, and settlements.
- Research REC market trends, public information about potential customers and/or competitors, analyzes data, and formulates a summary and/or recommendation to present to the team
- Produces origination CRM reports and performs overall CRM maintenance on prospects
- Support Origination by preparing presentation materials for commercial prospects
- Assist with qualifying business targets using available customer information and sustainability decarbonization goals to evaluate the commercial potential
- Identify high-value contacts at potential business targets
- Potential to execute short-term REC transactions
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Job Overview
This position is responsible for supporting structured transactions in the energy marketing group through monitoring and verification of trade deals. Employees in this role monitor and report on Value at Risk, daily activity, Profit and Loss, and pricing information.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Verifies position reports, enters trade deals and executes the end-of-day recaps and reports
- Monitors daily Value at Risk, position, and other risk related measures
- Reconciles broker and other external statements
- Provides management with daily Profit and Loss and pricing information
- Handles Electronic Funds Sources and other clearing transactions
- Supports the development and execution of the company's trading program
- Assists in preparing presentations
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
